We Get to Know You<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everything starts with your story and your wedding plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We want to understand how you picture your wedding: your preferred dates, approximate budget, expected number of guests, departure cities, the type of resort you are looking for and what matters most to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You do not need to have already selected a destination or figured out every detail. This first step is precisely about identifying your priorities and understanding what is realistic for your group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The goal is simple: start with your wedding, rather than with a predetermined package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. You Choose Mariage Sud and Your Level of Support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once we understand your project, you can choose how much assistance you would like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mariage Sud offers several planning packages, ranging from support for couples who prefer to handle part of the planning themselves to much more comprehensive assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our team brings together two important areas of expertise: group travel and destination wedding planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You therefore have a single point of contact for your travel arrangements, your guests and the different stages of your wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. We Choose the Destination and Resort Together<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is one of the most important decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We compare destinations and resorts according to your budget, your group, available flights, the beach, the type of resort you prefer and, of course, the wedding possibilities offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A resort may be perfect for a vacation without necessarily being the best choice for a wedding. We therefore also look at ceremony locations, wedding packages, reception options, the resort\u2019s wedding team and benefits available to groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who Reserves Our Wedding Date With the Resort?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mariage Sud takes care of reserving your ceremony date, location and time with the resort, according to the planning package you select.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once your date is confirmed, you may also be put in direct contact with the resort wedding coordinator to continue certain aspects of the planning process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To have the widest possible choice, especially if you have a specific meaningful date in mind, we recommend beginning the process approximately one year in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. We Plan Your Wedding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the destination, resort and date are selected, your wedding begins to take shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Depending on the planning package selected, we can assist with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-checklist\">\n<li>ceremony location<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>private reception or semi-private dinner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>flowers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>bouquet and boutonniere<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>decorations and wedding arch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>menu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>wedding cake<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>photography<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hair and makeup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>activities and events surrounding the wedding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When Do We Choose the Flowers, Menu, Reception and Photographer?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You do not need to make every decision when you book your trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For several of our planning packages, a complete planning appointment is scheduled approximately four months before departure. This is when we can work with you on your reception, flowers, menu, decorations and choices relating to photography, hair and makeup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Certain choices are then confirmed directly with the resort, and some final details may still be adjusted once you arrive at destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. We Follow Up With Your Group and Guests<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While your wedding is being planned, our team also manages the travel side of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your guests can book within the group and contact the agency with questions regarding their travel arrangements. We follow the reservations and important deadlines associated with the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This means the couple does not have to become the travel agency for every guest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Many People Are Needed for a Group Rate?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A group is generally established with a minimum of 10 adults through the major tour operators, including Air Canada Vacations, Transat Holidays, Sunwing and WestJet Vacations. Benefits and complimentary offers may then vary depending on the supplier, number of travellers and number of rooms booked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your advisor therefore looks for the option that makes the most sense for your particular group rather than applying the same formula to every wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Happens if a Guest Cancels?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conditions depend on when the cancellation occurs and on the supplier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deposits may be non-refundable and non-transferable, and when one guest cancels from a room shared by several travellers, the remaining occupants may have to pay the applicable difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A cancellation may also affect the group status or pricing if the number of travellers falls below the required minimum. The exact conditions for your reservation should therefore always be confirmed with your advisor and supplier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also recommend that travellers review their insurance protection when booking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. You Arrive at Destination\u2026 and It\u2019s Almost Wedding Day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By the time you leave, most of the planning is already complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The general requirement is to arrive approximately 72 hours before the ceremony, although requirements can vary by country: 48 hours for Jamaica, for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Happens When We Arrive?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will generally meet the resort wedding coordinator the day after you arrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They can show you the ceremony location you selected as well as other available spaces. If you have planned a private reception or dinner, you may also visit those locations and finalize the remaining details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is also an opportunity to confirm certain choices with the resort team and, when possible, make final adjustments to your wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then comes the moment everything has been leading up to. Your family and friends are there, the vacation has begun and you can finally enjoy your wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You focus on living the moment.
